How does a Re-Roofing work?

Reroofing is the process of layering one set of new shingles over a set of existing shingles.

Because there is no tear off, reroofing can go much faster and be much less expensive than a complete roof replacement.

However, it can only be done once, so if you already have two layers of roofing in place, give us a call to see how we could help.

What to expect:

Initial Roof Assessment

We will come to your house or business to examine your roof. We will provide an initial assessment and give you professional advice and recommendations. Last, we’ll give you a no obligation quote to suit you.

Set a date

Once accepting the quote, a 50% deposit is usually expected and the work is scheduled for an agreed date.

Project Commencement

Installation generally takes about a working-week from start to finish and happens in clear and practiced steps:

A simple process

  1. Erect scaffolding and roof-edge safety measures
  2. Remove old roofing material and dispose of off-site
  3. Check the roof sub-structure, prepare surface and install new roofing battens if necessary
  4. Install new roof complete with all hips, ridges, flashings etc (usually about a day)
  5. Clean up around your garden and perform final inspection of new roof
  6. Final signoff: You pay your final balance and we provide your warranty certificate and maintenance guide
